Support Care Professional II

General Summary

  • Second-level Support Care position accountable for assisting residents with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks. Assists in checking vital signs, height and weight as assigned; collects and maintains records of fluid intake and output; reports on the condition of residents, and participates in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • May require a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation

Support Care Professional III

General Summary

  • Third-level Support Care position accountable for taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. May mentor or direct the work of lower-level employees. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • May require a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation.

Licensed Nurse Practical

General Summary

  • First-level Nursing position accountable for administering medication and other prescribed treatments, taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport and/or escort to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary. Mentors and delegates work to CNAs.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Certificate from an Approved School of Nursing
  • Licensure as an LPN
  • 0-4 years of experience

Psychologist I

General Summary

  • Fifth-level Behavioral Health professional who provides advanced clinical and behavioral services which may include assessment of behavioral health concerns, individual and group therapy, program development/implementation, and treatment outcome measurement. Under the direct supervision and oversight of an appropriately licensed or certified Behavioral Health professional, individuals in this classification also perform screening assessments of behavioral and emotional functioning, intelligence, achievement, and adaptive functioning. Incumbents in this classification are responsible for working closely with other professional disciplines such as psychiatry and social services, and they may also serve as members of, or consultants to, interdisciplinary teams. May serve in supervisory roles as based on organizational/facility guidelines, and may provide direct supervision to employees in less advanced classifications.

Qualifications

  • Requires Mississippi Board Licensure as a Psychologist in Mississippi
  • Doctoral Degrees in Psychology

Therapeutic Therapist II

General Summary

  • Second-level Professional position accountable for planning, directing, and coordinating complex recreation-based or music-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries or illnesses. Accountable for assessing patients, performing treatment planning, facilitating activities, using, and maintaining therapy equipment, and maintaining documentation. Directs the work of or provides training for lower-level vocational positions. Work at this level allows for wide latitude of individual initiative and program planning; however, it must be coordinated with other programs and services. Incumbents may participate in staff and administrative planning.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-4 years of experience.
